Installing a radio - Radio doesn't receive power?

Hey Autos! I wanted to replace the crappy radio in my 2005 honda civic LX. I hear installing a new radio is a simple process if you know how to hook up wires. Basically I took out the old one, and replaced it with my new one. However after I hooked up the wires, my radio doesn't receive power. After double checking the wires multiple times, and still no power, I tried the original radio to find out it had the same issue, no power. I feel as though I blew a fuse or something but this seems like a very weird issue, can anyone help? I'll be happy to post pictures/videos if needed.
