Probably accepting a new job offer. Where should I drink with my two weeks off before I start?

Got an offer from a competitor that's much better than my current bureaucratic shithole. New boss told me to take a few weeks off before i start. I was thinking New Orleans, but i want some other opinions. Money's not a huge issue, but I find that I fit in better in the cheaper, dirtier, drunker places. People are way more interesting there.

edit: by the way, I live in Chicago, which right now with an unseasonably early spring is a great place to drink, but I'll be here forever so I'd like to experience something new.
