[Troubleshooting] Just a general question I couldn't find the answer to regarding PCI.

I built my new computer last month and haven't had any worries with it and it's all running fine.

With that out the way I am curious about SLI with two 560Ti's. My motherboard has one PCI x16 slot running at x16 and another PCI x16 slot running at x4. My question is will I see a performance loss when running a second card in the second PCI x16 slot running at x4 rather than running it at x16?

Is there a way for me to change the run speed of a PCI slot (I doubt this) and if not will there be any point in SLI'ing with the x4 slot or would I be wasting my money?
