Vintage Dodge Dart Restoration Help Please
Hey, I want to fix my dad's vintage Dodge Dart. I think it's a '67, but I'm not sure, could be like '73 or something, but let's assume it's '67. My dad loves cars, but unfortunately, he's a hard worker who doesn't have the time or the money to fix his car, so I want to try to help him with it. The only problem is, I'm a college freshman with limited money and very little experience working with cars. I'm pretty sure it needs a new battery/maybe spark plugs, but may need more work; it doesn't run right now. Plus it needs some cosmetics (seat needs to be re-upholstered, new paint job. How much would a restoration cost, and where should I go to start?
tl;dr: kid wants to fix a car for his dad with little experience, knowledge, or money: help please.
THANKS for any help you can give.
EDIT: I called my dad, and it's a 1965 Dart convertible that's been sitting in the garage for like 5 years. It needs mostly cosmetic stuff - seat covers, carpet, some body work, rear bottom quarter panels, some body work, more modern seat belts (still has only the one across the lap I think), and paint. Maybe a little rust/body work. Will this cost much?/how hard is it to work with?
