Was looking at PCWorld magazine and saw this article on budget PC building: advice?

I read PCWorld, and recently read an article picking the best components for outfitting either a budget or performance build. I am interested in the budget, but haven't built a computer before.

Here are the specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K ($240) or the AMD FX-4100 ($110)

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HC 6850 ($140)

Case: Fractal Define R3 ($120)

Motherboard: Intel: ASRock P67 Pro ($99) or AMD: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 ($90)

Power Supply: Enermax NAXN ENP450AST ($45)

RAM: G Skill Ripjaws 1600MHz DDR3, 8GB ($50)

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB ($130) or Crucial M4 64 GB ($150 and this one is solid state)

Optical Drive: Samsung BD-ROM SH-B123L ($60)

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus ($26)

So what are your thoughts? Any advice or suggestions are welcome, just keep in mind I'm a virgin PC builder.

Thanks!
