Possible Transfer

Hello Wolverines,

I'm considering transferring to Michigan next year from Northeastern University and I'm wondering if there are any transfer students out there that I could ask about the experience. Also, to the non-transfers out there: is anyone in the Economics or Sociology program? I would be concentrating in one of those two and I know Michigan is ranked very highly for both, but what is the quality of the actual professors in the classroom? Are they willing to engage with you personally? The main reason I decided not to go to Michigan in my freshman year was because I wanted a slightly smaller school.

I'm also wondering about the general attitude toward transfer students there- is it something like "oh, you didn't get in freshman year, you must be stupid"? If it helps, I will be entering as a sophmore, not a junior as many transfer students to.
