Reddit, we really need to do something about student debt.

I was fortunate enough to get almost half of my tuition and living expenses paid for through scholarships and some financial aid, but I still incurred over $35k in debt. 35k...for three and a half years of education at a public university.

With the (U.S.) election coming up, and student debt climbing higher than ever before, I really think we have a chance to turn this trend around.

Most of us redditors are young, politically savvy, college-educated people. Why don't we do something to help make our future more prosperous?

My proposal is to somehow make student debt reform more central in this election.

Any effective strategies out there?
