I (Think I) have a blocked Eustachian tube in my left ear. How do I fix it?

I've had it for as long as I can remember, since I was a little boy. It's really bothersome and I've even hurt myself on a couple of occasions (nothing no more permanent than the tube.) trying to maybe unblock it, or in hopes that it was ear wax, get the ear wax out.

I've gone to the doctor, and they told me to use Nasal spray, which only gave temporary relief (2-3 minutes). I've tried chewing gum on the left side to try and loosen it up, but that didn't work either. I've tried peroxide as well, both on a Q-tip and pouring it right in (Just a little, and I'm desperate).

Blocking my nose and "Popping" my ears gives temporary relief.

It's almost like being partially deaf and it's hard to enjoy music as much as I'd like to. Feels like the left channel is always quieter and on occasions it makes me dizzy. It's also difficult to hold a conversation with someone on my left if I'm not really giving them all my attention, since I can't exactly hear what they're saying all the time.
