A question regarding google web accessibility?

So, I have a couple questions. I am completely blind and use the Screen Reader JAWS for web navigation. I would like to say I am relatively capable in the arena of tech, at least so far as code dabbling, screen reader usage and web design. Despite this, however, I have found there are simply some elements of google web navigation I cannot do, and I am curious to know if there are any specific extensions I should be using or if I am just missing something obvious. I'll outline the essentials of my issues.

I use chrome for my browser, and my first issue appears to be unidentified web elements. This happens most commonly on sites like Facebook, Pandora and Youtube, and from what the reader can distinguish, certain elements are just text. I'll give an example. There will be a link, viewable via Internet Explorer, perhaps labeled "2," and the function of this link is to advance to a second page of comments on a forum, blog or video. However, chrome seems to interpret this "2" as simply a number, and is not assigning it to the html link element. I find I cannot highlight or activate this link. This happens in various locations and often inhibits navigation of certain pages.

Another point of interest is that chrome does not seem to acknowledge line breaks. To use the same example, assume there are 5 pages of comments. In IE, viewing this list of links would appear something like this: 1 2 3 4 5

In Chrome, however, my reader is perceiving this as 1 2 3 4 5. All on the same line, meaning that I cannot select a particular item or element. It does this also for text that, by all rights, should have line breaks. This I'm not sure of, and it might be something changeable, but I have yet to find the option to do so.

A final note, youtube, under the google juresdiction, is no longer accessible. I assume the old youtube accounts have been merged with the currently existing google accounts that span gmail, google+ and so on. However, using a screen reader, I cannot easily edit my channels, playlists and so on. Similarly, the video controls are absent in chrome, meaning I cannot pause, adjust, or mute youtube videos. When I try clicking "add to playlist," I am prompted for playlist name and privacy settings, be it public or private. However, after indicating these options, the "create playlist" button remains unavailable. Likewise, clicking on the "options" button provides me with options that seem to be clickable, but are not as of chrome.

Does anyone else know of these issues? Are there ways around them? Thanks: Jonathon
