I hate being dishonest with my family about my atheism. (Yes, another Reason Rally related topic)

I went to the Reason rally today and I had an amazing time. Met my favorite podcast host and hung out collecting stickers and buttons...! All the while my apathetic atheist fiancé stayed at his family's house and explained my absence by saying that I was at a leadership conference. Now I've returned from the rally (too exhausted to go to any after party) and my fiancé wants to continue hanging out with his family....but I can't just ignore all the stuff I've seen today... I won't post pictures because they are no different from the ones currently on the front page of r/atheism. I just don't like being like this. I can't even talk about this event to most of my friends or family either (bible belt...) and it's very frustrating. So I needed to vent a little of it here... Thanks for listening. TL;DR No one understands, I'll just go get drunk now...
