I've come to realise that in my opinion, Morrowind still remains as the superior TES game

When skyrim first came out I could see no wrong in it. But after a few months it still doesn't live up to morrowind. In many aspects it has done better than oblivion did ( although some game elements in a oblivion are better than skyrims).

Visually I guess the game is better. In terms of graphics, but I enjoy morrowinds setting better. Still a minor point.

I enjoy the combat of skyrim most also. But morrowind is still my favourite as a whole.
