Bit of a problem bouncing audio; unable to arm tracks to record/record button just goes white

So when i want to bounce a clip that has, say, a reversed, reverbed audio effect on it i'm unable to record it because i can't record anything. In my audio preferences i have it set to no input and that's never been a problem before. Dunno what to do, i don't want to have to freeze everything everytime i want to bounce something.
