Need help with spying employer please!
Alright this will be semi long, so sorry for that but google hasn't really helped me too much.
Two weeks ago my employer/company recently had some webinar crap that we HAD TO DO on a Saturday for 3 hours the only plus side is we could do it at home as long as we installed the software for it. So they had anyone who would be using a laptop bring it in on Friday to install and help us know how to use it. No big deal really, but they very much rushed us to agree to the terms and install it - hey who even reads those anyways? However they MADE US quickly agree and not read it to the point of coming around and hitting enter for us.
Here is where it gets fun, this past Thursday they had little meetings with pretty much all of us to talk about the webinar 1 on 1 with management. Turns out the little piece of software they made us install ACTIVELY RECORDED OUR COMPUTER while it was running including video/keystrokes. So while we were watching someone 'speak live' (was so obviously a recording through 80% of it) they were making sure we were actually watching it. They presented me with their 'evidence' that I had not properly watched/participated as I should have which included screen shots of my desktop with the 'webinar suite obviously minimized/another window on top' as well as webcam grabs showing I was clearly away from the computer during 'key parts' of it.
So for the past days I have been trying to research wtf I can even do since I did agree to the terms and conditions (I re-read them and it does indeed say buried that it actively records any and all activity on the PC including but not limited to webcam, keyboard, mouse, audio input etc that will be reported to whatever company hired them etc)
Any help at all please? This was in Wisconsin.
