Advice on a daily driver, and girlfriend input.

I am going to buy a daily driver soon. There is a nice 09 wrx available but I have worries about what the previous owner may have done to it. Also a 08 BMW 328Xi coupe, but it is automatic. Loads of TLs but again, auto (I think my friend's mom's manual TL may be the only one in the world, kidding but really I have seen probably 100 of them and she had the only stick). My buddy got a job at the Kia dealership and he says the new SX is a good car but I doubt it will handle well.

I don't need something stupid fast, my car now has around 700hp and I will be keeping that for weekends and track days.

Second part, should I listen to my girlfriend's input on the car? She knows nothing about cars besides how they look. She likes the BMW but hates the wrex and the TL. Anything else I should consider? ** Edit:** I'm really leaning towards an 09 or 12 WRX.
