Live 1/2 NLHE Cash. AK, bad play? Tilt?

Very tight table image for me (I play a lot at this casino and know the players), very loose table. We're talking £100+ pots preflop with lots of limpers and very wide ranges. I've been playing a couple of hours and have only played 6 hands (AA, KK, 88, AQs, AKs, KQs).

Me: UTG. 3x raise. Folds round to button who reraises. Very loose player who called me when I had top set earlier and got his backdoor flush draw (hence me possibly being on tilt). I can't put him on anything but I'm thinking AK/AQ or a middle pair (and this is giving the guy credit). SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: .

BB checks, I check, button overbets the pot, BB folds, I re-raise all in and button calls. He immediately flips over and takes the pot down (no paired board for me unfortunately!). Maniac, or should I have let it go and given him credit for the flush or possible set of 3s?

AK is a hand I have a very hard time playing and I'm conscious that I'm too passive with it, so have been trying to be more aggressive. I'm assuming this was probably completely stupid on my part, but I'm curious if people would get away from the overbet with a potential made flush on the board.

If I recall, after his overbet I was pretty much betting the pot with my all-in and with top two pair it kind of felt like a no-brainer, but I'm generally a tournament player so I think I'm a bit naive with cash games and all the action and ranges players tend to have, particularly live. Would appreciate any criticism as I definitely need to improve my cash play.
