Just something I need to get off my chest ...
Okay, so I guess I'll start by saying that I'm in an amazing relationship with a girl whom I deeply love and I know she loves me. But, there's something that I feel is wrong and I know for a fact that I just cannot bring it up to her.
Here it goes ... she is absolute best friends with her ex-boyfriend of over 3 years. They hangout all the time, they still wear each others promise rings (this bothers me the most, personally), hell he even sends her letters in the mail filled with inside jokes and adorable other things.
A few weeks ago I even had an idea for her and I to go on an insanely cute date but her and her ex-boyfriend ended up doing everything I had planned. I know it's probably nothing but I feel as if I have to compete with him in order to try and make our romantic relationship different then their current 'friendship'.
I'm sure this could all be linked to my little self confidence but I feel that if it ever came down to a choice between him or me she wouldn't even second guess herself as she chose him.
Okay ... so this already feels better to have put this out there in any way. I know if I ever bring this up to her it would just drive a wedge between us as we've been dating for a little while now and I haven't said anything. It also isn't fair to her as she is obviously allowed her own friends without my judgement and I have the same treatment as well ... I just don't know what else to do if I can't tell anyone about this.
