[Build Help]Should I upgrade this or build a new one. I have $500.

I have this compaq pc which is getting really old and can't even play simple games anymore like portal 1 or half life 2.

Here is my PC

Should I upgrade this or do I build a brand new PC? I have the monitor and keyboard/mouse.
