Looking for a good headset. Recommendations? ($130 USD)
TLDR: Cooler Master MH750 was a nice set, Razor can suck it. Recommendations on a replacement for a headset in the price range of $130 (USD). Preferably without a mic but not a must.
Source: USB/Earphone Jack
Tonal Balance: Good balance between both
Use: Mostly music while gaming/coding. I am a bit tough on gear, and noise cancelation would be nice but not a must
Preferred music: If you listen to it, I do too. For instance currently it is Kpop while working, 80's rock while at home, creepypastas while gaming or country while I am drawing. This changes often though so it should be able to handle most everything.
I have not seen a lot love for the brand anywhere but, I have had the Cooler Master MH750 for 4 years. Never had any issues with it at all and apart from the earmuff coverings being worn out is still is solid working condition. The sound was nice too - being able to set computer sound at full and headset at 2 I was still able to clearly hear whichever when hanging the set around my neck.
Last year I decided it was time to retire the headset and got myself a razor because I did zero research of my own and took what some clerk suggested. This headset has been returned twice and needs to be returned again because once more the wiring has gone whack. The volume needs to be at the exact right space for both earphones to work or one of them will play nothing at all and I am not looking to remember the teenage years with wonky earbud cords. Not only that but the thing is falling apart at the seams, the padding over the top is falling out, and the plastic is cracking like it is going out of style.
I am not looking to buy a new set every year, or send in the set every other month. If I could've I would have just reupholstered the Cooler Master but that is not something one can do to a no longer in production headset it seems. So I would appreciate it if anyone has some really good recommendations for me. I am willing to pay $130 (USD) for a set, if I have certainty that it is worth it. A mic is not needed - but I wont be to upset if it is included, simply wont use it.
