This is by far the most obnoxious thing about this game right now, and it happens constantly. Having a good connection lobby is incredibly important in a game that has this low TTK, the game absolutely cannot just ignore where your search is at and put you into any lobby that needs filled.

Mine says it climbs up to 200 hundred but it’s always 30-60 regardless
“Ping is king” is no more. Sbmm prioritizes your skill level over your connection. Same is happening to me. I’ve had it as high as 200ms looking for games. And I’m not even very good lol, sub 1 kd.
If I let it get to 200ms and it put me in 200ms lobbies, I wouldn't really have that big of a problem with it. That would be the system functioning properly. But it takes me out of my search at low pings and puts me into high ping lobbies. Normally you can just back out and re-search until you find a good ping game, but now it just ignores where the search is at entirely.
Yea this whole matchmaking system needs some work for sure. I know sbmm makes it harder but still, should be enough people playing I would think, so that you can find a game at a lower ping AND around your skill level. That said, matchmaking systems should always prioritize ping in casual/public lobbies, leave the real heavy sbmm for ranked modes. The system we have nowadays just…. doesn’t really sit right with me.

What's the point of even having the search gradually increase the ping range you're searching for if it's not going to put you in a game within the range that you're at? I don't think this is intentional.
Because little TimmyNoHands must be protected from sweats.
In my honest opinion they increased SBMM in both Vanguard&Warzone to 11/10. Yesterday after me getting 20bomb in trios we literally couldnt play the game cause of high ping & god tier players
