New customer - camera question

We just got a Simplisafe system from Costco (4 sensors, camera, fob, keypad, panic button). I set everything up a few days ago, and everything seems to be working fine, except that whenever I switch the system from "Home" to "Off", the indoor camera opens the privacy shutter and records for a solid minute (I timed it). The app then shows a recording with the header "motion detected"...

I don't see any way to stop this, and I don't remember seeing this behavior documented anywhere. Is this normal? If so, is it possible to change this setting?
