If WSS performs poorly at the BO, does it affect its chances of a win?

It's opening numbers aren't great and while obviously it could definitely improve, we have to keep in mind that NWH is releasing the coming week.

I don't think it's gonna affect the chances of nominations at all, but I am curious if it's gonna affect a win?

It looks like Dune and HoG are the only Oscar contenders to have done well at the BO although you can't really compare since so many movies released on streaming and they don't release figures (although TPOTD did top Netflix globally which is good for it.). HoG would never win BP, but do y'all think they might actually go ahead and award Villeneuve and then Dune?

Or would they stick with what they think deserves it and WSS, LP and TPOTD, Belfast all come back in conversation for Director and Picture. (Although I frankly don't see Belfast winning for either at this point)?
