Symbolic Logic
My University offers a class in Symbolic Logic, offered by the Department of Computer Science. I was wondering how useful this class is. We will cover intermediate propositional logic and quantificational theory, natural deduction, axiom systems, elementary meta theorems, introduction to notions of modal logic, selected topics in philosophy of logic. How important is this stuff really? Would I better off learning a new programming language or working on a personal project instead of taking Symbolic Logic?
