As a newbie to ANKI, are there any begginer guides out there for making flashcard decks? Is this a foolproof method of learning?

Question

Finals week is really messing with me mentally. Today I started to review what I've learned over the past 2 months only to realize I forgot almost everthing.

I think I somewhat have overcome my tendency to procrastinate (with a few hiccups). I'm sure therefore that my studying technique must be the real issue

I typically memorize my lectures by regurgitating every single lecture slide verbatim, and have found that method to only be effective for certain topics.

I'm looking for a study method that is more sustanable. As a loyal viewer of Ali Abdaal, I thought about implementing Active recall and spaced repetition, partially through making flashcards.

The thing is, no matter how many videos I've watched I still have no idea how to get started. I have a lot of resistance over the idea of dropping my way of studying and taking an entirely different course of action.

Is it even possible to have enough time not only for making flash cards but reviwing them enough times so they would stick? Are there any begginer guides out there for making falshcard decks?

It's so frustrating that I had to spend hours upon hours, everyday studying just so that someone else who knows nothing about the topic could get the same grade as mine. I can't help but take this personally.
