Can't Party using Trial Accounts

So I am trying the game out with my mother using trial accounts, but we can't party. The main feature of MMORPGs is to play with people but this main feature is taken away? I don't even want to bother playing anymore or give the game a try. Why on earth would they take away such an important feature?

MMOs are meant to played together, if I wanted to play a single player RPG, I'd go play the witcher or something. I have intent to play with people but I can't play with people and I'm forced to pay from the outset for a game that I don't even know I'll enjoy.

GG FFXIV, guess I'm not playing you.
