Should i get a hdd or ssd as a secondary drive?

It is a laptop, currently have a 500gb ssd for my OS and some games bt i need another drive to store more games, files, videos and photos etc. Should i get an ssd? Is it worth the price cause i want a 1tb drive at least. Also was wondering if there is any recommendations, that would be great if so and thanks.
