Sound is distorted intermittently while playing back DirecTV stream recordings.

I think this has been happening for over a year now. I can't hardly get though an hour show without sound getting real quiet or real loud or start distorting. Then to get it to return to the Normal level I usually have to rewind the recording a second or so and then start playing it again and usually it returns to the normal level. I've even tried three different Roku devices. They all have the same issue. The only reason I've stuck with it is because fire TV doesn't have thumbnails when fast forwarding and rewinding through DVR programming.
