Christmas Gift for a Bordeaux Lover

howdy! let me know if this belongs somewhere else, but i’m looking for a gift for my dad. i am not really a wine drinker at all (more into whiskey, other spirits, and beer), but my dad is. what i know about him is: he is not much of a connoisseur in terms of having a particularly discerning palate, but he favors full bodied red wines like cabernets. i know that he’s had and enjoyed bordeaux bottles and he currently has a bottle of the prisoner (no clue if he likes this). he’s a big fan of the cabernet and shiraz from 90+ cellars. i don’t have a particularly large budget (probably $50 and under at most), nor do i think he would care if i got him something inexpensive. i’m looking mostly for something interesting that he might not have had before and that i could drink with him and get something out of. i am a total novice at buying wine. are there any bottles right now you’re really liking that would fit into this approximate category?
