As a budding HCIM, can someone explain the most difficult part of this achieve? Is it the rarity of dragonstone armor?

It’s 0.013% or 1/34,000 to get a piece from the crystal chest in priff. I’ve somehow gotten 4 pieces at 8k keys. Yes it’s the rarity of the armor let alone not getting a dupe/completing a set and the easiest part is killing the dragon

There is a 1/6801 change to receive a piece of dragonstone armour, with each different piece having the same chance. So a specific piece has a 1/34005 chance to be obtained.

There’s a stark difference between 1/34k for “a” piece and 1/6800 for “a” piece.

1/34k is for a specific piece. Do you think you’re going to want a specific piece after you get just any one of them? I know there’s a difference but 1/6800 is the chance for just any piece at first

For a hardcore its definitely got to be that one where you kill all the Legiones standing still.

I think for hardcores the hardest achievement is die by the blade where you literally have to die to complete it

If you use your last life to get the achievement, do you think the Runescore counts towards your score on the crossed out row on Hardcore highscores or only on Ironman highscores? lol

My end goal in rs is max runescore, I’m a main so this one shouldn’t be that big of an issue but I can’t imagine the difficulties as an Ironman. Gzzzz

You basically have to temporarily dedicate your life to this game if you want max RS even as a main. Profound alone is such a massive time sink you'll be coming home from work and AFKing Castle Wars for 8 hours every single day for several months. Such a worthless achievement that should've never existed. IMO spotlight thaler gain should become the normal rate and the new spotlight rate should be 2-3x that. Minigames are completely dead so I feel like this doesn't "devalue" shit other than proving how willing someone is to move their mouse around every 5 minutes to avoid getting logged out while they could be actually enjoying themselves in the game.

I did 1 mechanic. Kills are slower than 0 mechanics, but you get 3 crystal keys instead of 2

I would like to say "finally" but amazingly I still came in under drop rate! I am not the first with the set - to my knowledge there are 3 others, the first being Zowkii.
I started seriously hunting runescore in July 2020, and on April 25th 2021 I obtained full profound, leaving just Dragonstone Dragonstone Dragonstone as my remaining obtainable runescore. At the time, it looked like it would be about 1200 hours of Raksha as my most realistic method of obtaining the full outfit. 8 months down the line, Arch-Glacor has happened and this is achievement is slightly more sane to attempt, at approx 300 hours of Arch-Glacor.
53000 crystal keys later, I'm proud to say I am the first to max runescore on an ironman account.
Still, irons are blocked from completing all runescore achievements, as we cannot participate in Heist or Fishing trawler. I hope that Jagex will hear my plea and make allowance for this soon :)
