I have been trying to figure out where to have a pin and weld done. Good to see Ranier did a good job!

Just wrench it down with $5 worth of blue loctite lmao.

Bro, I have a dog.
They're already in your house if they are looking at the difference between P&W vs locktite...

The joke was because loctite isn’t permanent, so that = illegal sbr That’s why he put the sarcasm “/s”
I mean, you could use red loctite, which is permanent.
I do like their work.

Hey what’s up everybody here is a pin/weld Surefire 3 prong I had done by the gunsmith at Rainier Arms. It turned out great. This is the second time I’ve had a pin/weld job done by Rainier, it is just as good as the first time. Here is a link to my first review of a P&W Warcomp https://www.reddit.com/r/WA_guns/comments/kc72oq/rainier_arms_gunsmith_review_excellent_work/
The turn around was two weeks and it cost $80 to have the old pin/welded muzzle device removed and my SF3P timed and P&W’d. It was $80 cheaper this time than the first time I had it done there a year ago. A very pleasant surprise lol. The first time I was charged $80 to remove the existing P&W’d device, and $80 to P&W the new Warcomp making it $160 total. So I guess they cut the price in half? Idk but I’m happy with it. So to bring it to an end the work was great and if you need something like this done Rainier Arms is a great option in my experience. Peace out dudes
Hmm 🤔
P&W: $80 + 160 = $240
Tax Stamp: $200
Why not just SBR this and have free range on muzzle devices?
Removal and P&W costs $80 (now, was $160 a year ago). Was not my intention to change muzzle devices a year later, but the Warcomp really sucks for running a can and this is a 90% suppressed rifle. The difference between a Warcomp and 3 prong with a rc2 and socom mini2 is definitely noticeable.
Also not a fan of registering a firearm and having to ask permission to travel with it.
Fair enough. How long is the barrel on this one? I presume somewhere around 14.5?
Yes 14.5
Twice a year usually. AZ and MT.
In my opinion it makes no sense to sbr a 14.5”. SBR costs more with stamp and trust and engraving, is registered, and a pain in the butt to travel with.
The only reason I had this P&W’d two different times was I failed to do enough research on suppressor mounts before having the Warcomp p&w’d. After doing some reading and shooting my other rigs with 3 prongs it was noticeable the Warcomp was not the most optimal mount. So I made the changes.
Dang, what sort of difference do you notice between the Warcomp and the 3 Prong?
The tone. The tone of the suppressors just sounds better using 3prong. The ports on the Warcomp blast directly into the locking collar of the Surefire cans and it shoots gas out the locking end of the can, you can even see it sometimes when shooting. Seemed to get carbon locked much faster with Warcomp too.
