Looks nice! Sound clip?
See my other comment I just got the car back this afternoon and I'm doing Christmas stuff with small children so not really high on my list of priorities right now.
Any update on exhaust clips? What other mods do you have on the car? Did you go from stock to the 3" or another exhaust system?
I'm still on the stock exhaust with the sergebo header. I've been kind of underwhelmed by the top end.
Also there's still a small active serious enthusiast forum under the tsxclub build threads subforum.
Sergebo header > resonated test pipe > kteller stainless 3" mandrel bent piping > zzp 3 inch whisper resonator > stainless 3 inch v-band > stainless 3" to dual 2.25" outlets splitter > Amazon stainless 2.25" universal mandrel bent exhaust diy kit > dual 2.25" v-bands right before the mufflers > 2015 Civic SI mufflers with 2.25" inlets > OEM TSX exhaust tips.
Surprisingly it's quieter than the OEM exhaust when you're just driving it normally. That zzp whisper 3" resonator really lives up to it's name. On decel you get some seriously low bass rumble if you let it decelerate down under 2K in gear. Once you stomp on it though it's got a really pleasing roar. Very throaty and reminds me a lot of an uncorked E46 M3. Have yet to rev it out at Redline since I just got it back this morning and have only been taking my kids to the playground today and going shopping. Only revved it up to 5K but even just that I could feel way more torque which surprised me as I expected more to feel it on the top end. I'll upload some video clips though you know it never does an exhaust Justice being recorded over shitty smartphone microphones. My fabricator said he's done 100 exhaust on Hondas and it's by far the best sounding one he's ever done or heard. When the fabricator came to my house to deliver it it had a really crazy sounding low rumble as he came down the road at low speed.
It wasn't cheap though. Total all Parts added up to about 700 and fabrication labor was another 500 since I had to go to a hot rod shop since no Mom and Pop muffler shop would touch stainless. It's exactly what I want though. A high-flowing 3-in stainless exhaust that has no drone and can be daily driven comfortably. No rattles or clunks. Ground clearance is not an issue. Clears my giant 24 mm progress rear sway bar. Looks stock from the outside to prevent unwanted attention from police. Mission accomplished.
Only thing left I need to do is pop off those mufflers, hit them with a Scotch-Brite pad, and hit them with a black ceramic coating. Probably will polish the tips while I'm at it.
Very very cool! Thanks for sharing the info!! Love your posts!!
Thanks broseph.
