I haven't played the game for about four months (since Yoimiya-Raiden). How good is Ittou and Gorou? Are they OP must-pulls? I just saw Shenhe and Yae on twitter and that made me curious about the game again, I might come back if there's an OP character.
Also I saw some banners that have the same time periods (same 4-stars but different 5-stars)?

This is to make reruns return faster, something people complained in the past for Albedo or Xiao, who took a year each to return
Now we get 2 banners
A and B
Each banner has its own 5*, but the 4* are the exact same
Shenhe has Xiao on her side, both share Ning,Yanfei and Yun Jin, a new 4*
Itto is Xiao level, nothing OP or gamebreaking. Gorou works only in geo teams with units that scale off of defense (such as Itto), he's good enough in that niche but useless otherwise.
Shenhe is buffer, but also niche as she buffs only cryo damage.
We still don't know anything about Yae (2.5 beta hasn't started yet so, we don't have reliable leaks), but she's rumored to be >!an on-field electro dps and her weapon should be a catalyst.!<
Itto is about the same level as childe by himself imo, but he definitely benefits the most with gorou and a full geo team and geo resonance, with all that, I’d say he’s comparable to eula, not mist pulls but certainly very good
There aren’t any must pull characters and nobody has surpassed Ganyu as a DPS
Itto is ok around Xiao lvl but not meta defining
They’ve started doing double rerun banners that are run simultaneously with a shared pity.
The base game's still the same, but there's new maps coming out. So, if you quit because of the artifact grind or whatever, it's still here.
Other than the characters there is no new permanent content but that's about to change with the new area
I mean tsurumi island was added in 2.2 no, so after raiden. But yeah nothing too game changing aside from that. Like new artifact sets as well but yeah.
Maybe a year a ago, people would go around and preach certain char is a 'must pull'. But what I learn over one year of playing the game is that no one is a must pull. And 'must pull' unit for now will likely become 'not that must pull' in a few patch. So just stick to whomever ypu enjoy the most, no need to chase after meta.
