(Spoilers) ME3 Priority Citadel II / trust score threshold question

SpoilerMASS EFFECT 3

ME3 SPOILERS

Hey all, I've just started ME3LE and was a bit of a dick to my Virmire survivor having completely forgotten that those dialogue choices affect their level of trust in you down the line.

From memory, as long as you have a high enough reputation score along with visiting them in hospital at every opportunity and lowering your weapon during the coup, is this enough to ensure they survive? Or am I gonna need to redo a few hours of gameplay lol

Thanks and happy new year!

I was a bit cold to Ashley on Mars too, like Earth is burning and you want time to get to know Shepard again? Seriously fck off. I didnt lower my gun either on Citadel, and then intimidated her to stand down. Luckily she got out of that alive. Had to later charm her to join Normandy but that's it.

I would like to mention I did visit her hospital everytime she sent a mail though.

Thanks for that. Yeah I remember each interaction counts towards the trust score but I have only taken renegade options thus far (except for the initial hospital visit when they're in a coma, I picked paragon), sounds like frequency of visiting and having a high enough reputation score with Thane and Valern alive should do enough.

Hey charm or intimidate doesn't matter if you make a solid enough argument right haha

Is the Salarian councilor alive?

Yes I saved the council in ME1

No in ME3

Did you have Thane?

Ah sorry, to clarify, I'm not up to that part of the game yet - I'm still around the start of ME3 (Priority Palaven), but just remembered the coup is upcoming and that how you treat the VS on Mars affects their survivability later in the game. Choices I've made so far and will, I will absolutely have Thane at this stage.

Basically tossing up whether to lose a couple hours and reboot from the Mars save, but if it's not needed for VS to survive the coup then I'll just carry on and focus on reputation points.

Edit: typo

Yeah I think that should be good enough

Pretty sure I was a little renegade to my Virmire survivor on Mars and then let up on them after a heart to heart in the hospital, and I was able to keep them alive. Had Thane and the Salarian councillor both alive though.

Yeah that's what I thought, I think the very first time I played ME3 I took the renegade dialogue path on both Earth and Mars but then was nice to them afterwards and they survived. But it's been many years since I played so just wanted to confirm 🙂 Thank you!
