HyperX Alloy Origins Core buttons not working

Keyboards

So I bought my keyboard around October in 2020, and recently since last month maybe, some buttons have been not working. Sometimes I'll even try to click very intensely and it still doesn't work, or I would hold down on the button and it would spam the button and then suddenly stop.

I've tried cleaning the keyboard (using Q tips and alcohol, and a light blower for the dust) cause I thought it might just be dust blocking the button from functioning properly. However, it was not the case and the buttons still don't work properly.

Then I resorted to the providers in my country (Egypt), as my warranty is supposed to be 2 years. So I called both of them (ECS and ETS) and both of them have told me they do not fix keyboards, so what's the warranty even for at this point.

So coming here is basically my last option to figure out what to do with my possibly broken switches or with whatever is wrong with this keyboard. So any help would be appreciated, thank you.

If hyperx make an alloy origins lineup that has hotswappable switches that would be great

I think if you are still within the 2 years warranty and they cannot fix the issue, they should replace it with a new keyboard. (I’m a fellow Egyptian for reference). If they refuse to replace it, try threatening them by saying you will call (جهاز حمايه المستهلك), if they don’t budge, then go ahead and call them.

Good luck out there, keep me posted cause I bought myself the hyperx alloy origins (the full keyboard version of yours) last black friday and want to know how things go with you.

I had this same issues with several keys on the same keyboard. I got it RMa’d and got a new one, then 2 weeks later that keyboard also had buttons that didn’t work. I switched to a Logitech keyboard after that. The fit and finish of the hyper x was great but the dang things just stop working after a month.
