US-16-150W at 65º and no active cooling
Is this safe? 65ºC seems a bit high to be running fan-less. In contrast, one of our US-24-250W is at 43º with the fan state at 70.

Well, I feel a little dumb to be honest. Have had one of these switches for a few years and had no idea you could see the fan state.
Anyway, read this: https://community.ui.com/questions/UniFi-Switch-16-POE-150W-Fan-State-always-Off/0222e82b-86c4-4d9f-96c4-ffd7a48aaa13
TL;DR - it's probably fine.
65C is nothing for die temperature. The industry standard for this kind of chip is to be able to run at 105C for the life of the product.
Yeah, I now know that it’s the die’s temp and not the ambient temperature. Thanks.
They could surely indicate that better. And several of their products (esp. the previous gen passively cooled switches) are known to become quite toasty.
