Disable VCM on Honda Pilot 2018? Thoughts?

I’m considering installing the Svcm on my pilot after reading what havoc the Vcm can cause to the engine over time. The only thing holding me back is the fact I have a warranty on the power train. Do you think installing the Svcm will void any warranty claims I may have? Or Is less engine damage over time worth the possible risk??

Is it even worth it in your opinion or is the trouble with the Vcm mainly for older generations? Thanks.

There is a programmer that plugs into obd2 port to disable the GM version, maybe there is something similar for Honda?
