Dog in pain and stomach distention.
Species: Dog
Age: 3 years
Sex/Neuter status: Female/Unspayed
Breed: Pomeranian
Body weight: 8lb
History: This has occured twice before, the first time we brought her to the vet and medicine worked (Something to protect stomach lining and laxatives). The vet said she was distended and there was inflammation of the stomach but no perforations or abnormalities. The second time I simply added pumpkin puree to her meals and she eventually got better.
Clinical signs: No distented stomach Pain when touched in areas other than the head Prior to today stomach was noted as more blueish tint as well as some veins Pale gums
Duration: This started this morning.
Additional Information: Her diet recently had been changed to a raw diet that she really likes No problem eating or relieving herself Can move around fine and no lethargy Will be trying pumpkin puree again Is a fast eater that I believe is causing but also have concerns about allergies as she has been more itchy. (No fleas or bugs or indication on skin)
What do you guys think is causing this?
