Oh, hi there; didn't see you! You've reached r/OCPoetry. This is a workshop site where you can share, read, and talk about eachother's poetry & etc. To post your own poems, you need to give feedback to 2 other writers. If you aren't trying to share, you're encouraged to give feedback, but aren't required. Try to be nice, questioning, and specific. If you can't do that - eat a cabbage and come back later. Try to give feedback to a writer without any feedback. Lastly, read our [feedback guide ](https://www.reddit.com/r/OCPoetry/wiki/feedbackcritiques), other writer's comments, or this author’s feedback links. If you still aren't sure whether your comments are useful ‘feedback’, or you have any other questions, send us a modmail!

I totally get that it can seem to not make sense and be disorientating because of my choice of words. It does have a lot of personal meaning so ofc it's hard to understand with no context. Tbh I had it on one of my notebooks and since it was a important to me I decided I'd post it. I don't really like talking about the meaning behind anything I make because I think what makes art beautiful is everyone giving it it's own meaning. Thank u for your input, I'll keep it in mind! 😊

To me, it looks like this is about leaving the age 17 and entering legal adulthood after an unsatisfying childhood. It makes me feel somewhat disoriented due to every two lines being about something different, but there are a lot of clichés, so it's more so whiplash from the poem's incongruent style. IMO, you'd benefit from, if you do want to use a cliché, stretch it out to make it more unique. I like the last three lines. It's like you're talking to your 17 year old self for the last time.

Hi, RepresentativePoet20. We require each poem submitted here to have two unique feedback links. This submission reuses feedback links from a previous post of yours and has been removed. After you've edited your post to show two new comments on your peers' work, please reply to this comment and I will restore the poem.
