Help! Fish swimming thru intake

32g led biocube. Okay so I recently acquired a school of danio. I have lost at least three due to them swimming through the intake slots and getting over into my inTank media basket in the middle chamber. Any ideas for prevention of this? The fish getting into chamber 1 isn’t a huge issue bc they are able to move freely back and forth. But obviously not the case once they hit that basket in the next chamber. I do already have the “fish saver” plastic piece to cover the gap at the top so the intake holes are my issues.

I thought I found a solution doing a generic google search and saw a diagram of the original filter cartridge being slid down into the first chamber. I’ve come to realize I was looking at a diagram for the older style biocube. I have never used the stock filtration setup so I thought I had a been missing something for the last couple years 🤦🏻‍♀️ and found an easy fix. Is there a product similar to this for the newer styles ?
