Check out this 3D game "Earthlingo", it's free on steam

In the game you're a space alien walking around a 3d town on Earth, and you can click on any object and it says the word in Chinese. Then you add it to your list. Then you do a quiz when you've added enough, and the quiz says the word and you have to walk around as the alien in the 3d world and find it and click on it.

I find this 3d physical object way of learning much more engaging and memorable than going over written vocab lists. it's much more real-world.

I stumbled across the game on steam, it's 100% free. It also runs on steam on linux as well as windows. I learned like 100 words in one afternoon. And there are like 8 languages to choose from. Just wanted to share
