Last week was Let's Roll's finale, so I expected something else to air today in its place. But the only videos today for Recently Added were the usual GMOD and a Stream Archive of PostTeam.

Honestly, I found myself not watching any more. Not because of the new additions, I'm sure BK and Joe are wonderful additions. It's honestly because AH's content is so piecemeal and uninspired these days. I feel like they're putting out videos because they have to, not because they want to. Like the fire is gone or something.
They lost me long ago. Around the beginning of the pandemic. And for real when I didn’t feel an improvement when they got back to the office. For the YouTube content anyways.
Face x2 and Stinky Dragon are actually my favorite podcasts over all. And I listen to a lot of podcasts
I stopped when they finally had a new series that was easy to film (small cast) and generally beloved... the Michael and Matt randomizer series... and then they just kinda wordlessly dropped it
They're my crafting background noise. It's great, because the content is usually all the same, loud, noise all the time so I don't have to pay attention to anything being done. It's a filler, that all it's become.
They said something on GTA this week about them running out of content bc of Christmas and having to crunch last week to try and cover this week while they’re shooting something. Hopefully be back to normal next week.
They should really consider doing a short weekly show they can use to give their paying audience updates on things Achivement Hunter related.

I liked it because I didn't have to follow all their social media and watch every podcast or stream to know about the big stuff or the particularly notable stuff that had happened that week.
I know they pushed Chit & Chat as replacing it, but streamed convos are much more stream of consciousness and podcast-like versus AHWU was generally specific announcements and then some goofing off with packages. I only watch the streams when it's a game I like, so I don't see the Chit & Chat much, nor is it on Youtube like AHWU was.
Yeah, I'm not going to sit through an hour of archived pre-stream interaction a week just in case they mention something about one of the shows I actually care about.
I would like to see a real behind the scenes, day in the life kind of mini series from ah. I and many others just don't understand how they could run out of content and need to crunch anything. They film 5-10 hours for one week's worth of content with the on screen personalities, then an editor gets each video. They have so many people working for ah now how do they not have time to film more or even take on some editing jobs themselves? Even the worst run companies don't have people wasting 30 hours on meaningless bullshit each week
Given the technical challenges associated with what they do I could honestly see an hour long GTA taking 2-3 hours to film once you account for setting all the computers up correctly and such. Would be interesting to see just how long videos actually take to record. Waiting for updates or one computer to be setup is pretty much how we got between the games after all. I’d love to see a day in the life documentary style video “its 9:30am and we are all opening up GTA for our first video of the day. Its now 10:30am and we are just waiting on gavin’s game to finish updating and oh it looks like michael’s computer just restarted for a windows update, hope no one else gets that update.”
IIRC, they've casually done that before. I don't have videos for you, but they have talked about how it might take them an hour or more for everyone to update and get in the same lobby to record a video.
Yea I definitely think we’ve seen content like that before, at the very least its probably been discussed on off topic. I think they would have to film at least a week or so of their process to really give a good picture. That would do a better job of showcasing the scheduling aspect of “we need to film Minecraft today as its the only day we’ll have X number of people available”. Obviously having a crew follow them around for a whole week would probably complicate the process even more.
Considering they're doing a "seasons" thing now, does that mean we're expecting a Challenge Accepted next week or do we know if they're still on Let's Roll?

They've always done it in 'seasons' iirc. Usually takes a month or two off after a few months.

I feel like a lot of people are out of the office either because of the covid spike or just doing another project. Yesterday’s RT podcast had a unique group (don’t get me wrong, I loved it), during STF Chris & Blaine alluded to Gus & Barb being gone. Finally, on The Most Andrew mentioned Drew was out filming stuff, so connecting the dots I think a lot of people could just be out filming something and that’s why we’re not getting “new” stuff this week.
Nothing is the quality content Jack promised us!
To be fair, nothing is better than what they are currently producing, so it's an upgrade.

They're using a turn of phrase" And they're the assholes", which is a common phrase to mean that we've been saying they're the ones at fault, not that we're literally calling them assholes. Think of something like "I gave a hungry person food, but because they don't like mayo on sandwiches, I'm the asshole?" No one called the guy an asshole, it's just a saying people use.
