PSA: you can buy updated Roccat Optical switches
I bought mine on aliexpress, but there's listings up on ebay too.
These are much improved over stock in the Burst Pro, which is cool since it's a great mouse with a dog's optical switches that even with a split button design manage to feel exactly as stiff and shitty as an old model Zowie FK1. The new ones are slightly lighter and quieter than Razer V2 switches.
Here's a recording of stock Burst switches vs the updated ones and Razer V2s so you know this isn't pure cope: https://vocaroo.com/16y7CPSJAtwm
If you buy some just get at least 4 for binning purposes, and adjust the 2 screws up front before putting the feet back on since fully tightened gives negative pre-travel and having them slightly too loose just rattles like a cheap office mouse.

Hey, since you're skeptical of these I looked into it more, and it turns out TTC does sell these and it's more an issue of them being too niche to have many resellers. There is one in the US here though.
Considering these are switches used in exactly two non mainstream mice I'd be surprised if they were knock-offs, it doesn't make much sense.
No, and yes. Roccat use dummy switches like Razer, so if they weren't optical they wouldn't work.
I'm not going to take these apart, but externally they appear identical with "Roccat" and "TTC" on the casing.
I'm just posting this because I can't find official sources for them and Roccat won't sell them to you, so the alternative is harvesting from a KPA.
