Doing a bl4 run in bloodborne, and can’t beat the first boss (cleric beast) in 10+ tries, barely can get it to half health. Should I try to do an easier run first or just power through and get good? I’ve already gotten the platinum for the game so I think if I power through I’ll be able to make it, but don’t want to get involved in something way over my skill level

Try Gascoigne maybe he’ll be easier (he was easier for me)

Lol I think that’s normal, my friend did unlevel in ds games and he spent like 3 hrs on dancer.
I don't mean to be an ass but Cleric Beast is a tutorial boss and even newbies new to the game can beat it first try. You are a hoonter with platinum for gods sake.
Just stahp and do a normal run and learn the bosses patterns more.
I’m also doing it with no blood vials
And I always have trouble with. However in four playthroughs I’ve never died to Gherman once
Could try a vitality only run so you get used to the damage output/boss patterns with a bit of cushion
