one day? impressive
This was funny
I feel like I am missing the joke why was he downvoted?
My guess is repeating the joke
cos america bad
Unless a big brother from the New World starts to pump them with money and advanced tech they won't survive.
So they just need to hold out until the Sunset Invasion?
lol....
bUt WeRe’Re iNdiGeNouS
This got political quickly.
It’s a post about Israel, what did you expect?
probably not. the Mamelukes will hate them and so too will the ottomans, and everyone else in the region. they are not Christian and this is 1444 so they will get feck all support from the west. I am predicting annexation within the first 50 years of the game at the latest
Well, jokes on you, it happened within the first few months when I played it some time ago...
Challenging start but far from impossible. Get max loans + 30k mercs and attack on 11 dec. Blitz them and take max money + as much land as possible, probably trucebreak right after and repeat, or Attack someone as cyprus to get at war with them again, and then prob go bankrupt but in 15 years you Will be fine
Sieges will take more than 2 years. You'll be bankrupt in less than that
You don't Need to keep 30k mercs for the whole war. Sell titles + max loans Will get you around 800 ducats, mercs are needed to overwhelm them at the start of the first war, then carpet siege and use only mercs on forts to rush the siege. Once they have no army left you can delete 40/50% of mercs and let them burn. Remember you Will get 150 or so ducats from stealing during occupation. If there Is a Need you can also get Money from corruption, i belive also from jewish interaction. No Need for 100% in the First war, Just max money to pay all loans and some land to get bigger loans cap.
Muslims weren’t particularly hostile towards Jews until re-radicalization of the 20th century (the go-to example being Spain pre- and post- reconquista), but particular attitudes varied significantly depending heavily on whims and zealousness of a particular ruler.
The full autonomy of a stale like this certainly wouldn’t last long, but depending on how exactly this scenario comes to be — was Jerusalem conquered by Ummayads in the first place and does the Al-Aqsa mosque exist? if not, is there still a diaspora in Europe that could feasibly give this state some bargaining power like unique trade opportunities? — there may enjoy a long-term vassal/puppet status to one of the local powers, maybe until Ottomans come knocking. I don’t know much on the subject, but from what I do know, something like this seems to have been the case for Southern Caucasus for the most of Early Modernity, so why not here as well.
It’s definitely gonna die. It’s a three province country with an isolated religion surrounded by a great power with no routes for expansion.
Ireland exodus ahoy.
I think I can form Rome with it

Wait a minute...Youre not Belbud! Youre an imposter!
I am not who? Haha
It seems you are not aware of the Belbudd meme. In order to get informed, watch the video from the Social Streamers where they do a reddit post challenge.
If you also balkanized the Mamluks... But then the Ottomans would roll over even faster.
Imagine if Israel or 'Judea' somehow established at that time, how would they behave?
In real life they would have probably been crushed by the Mamluks in a few months.
In eu4, the AI Judea would go bankrupt, get their country occupied by pretender rebels and then attack the Mamluks with 3 divisions.
IRL Unless God would help them they would be off the map quick
In eu4 it all depends on allies they will get and luck
they get DoWed or vassalized in the first 6 months
In the extended timeline mod, I started as Israel, took out ISIS and slowly but surely took over the whole world
This nation dies quicker than you can say "surrender of Maine"
Ally the Ottomans and the US(when possible)
Get zlewikk on there I'm sure he can find some way to cheese the AI and become a world super power in 30 years
This is a time before Christian Zionism existed, and Muslim nations will want the haram al sharif back regardless; there’s no way to win this. Trust me; I’ve made an Israel custom nation before to try this, it failed
This is hard cause it's post Crusades but they don't have any allies or rivals to suggest how they came to be. Since it's a Jewish state but with no rivals or allies it suggests that the Christians and Muslims created it as a middle ground acceptable solution where neither one would have it. So, I think it just sort of sits there neither side touching it unless they're sure they'd win in another Crusade.
You need to exodus to Ireland or East Frisia and later reconquest the Holy Land.
Using best CB (no CB) of course. Could also do the same with naples when they get independent.
Player run, there’s a chance, but it’s really rough run. Byzantium is easy by comparison. Not only is Israel completely surrounded by a much larger nation (that may or may not still have cores on all of Israel’s provinces?) of a different faith, but virtually all countries large enough to be able to help them out are too far away to be bothered allying them.
Their best bet is probably to try and get in the Ottomans’ good graces and agree to become their ally. But they’re probably too weak for the Ottomans to be interested.
Doubt it, the US not yet been founded.
As AI? It wouldn't survive even for 6 months As player? It will conquer the entirety of middle East within 50 years
Lol no, they’ll die almost immediately : no allies, no money, completely surrounded by a violently hostile superpower.
Well, in real life it worked pretty well, so you know. 🤷🏾♂️
“No allies”
Actually for the first 20 years, no allies....
Except Millions worth of Millitary equipment and advisors from Britain, France, America and hell even the Czechs got in on it, ironically selling Israel domestically produced Bf-109's.
I think the Protocol of Sèvres shows the level of cooperation they had with colonial powers can't really be classified as having 'no allies' even if it's not a formal public agreement or anything.
Lmao as another Israeli (live in America), I can tell you that Israel had massive foreign support. Without that, it would be gone, or just at treaty line size.
Well, the nukes whose existence they will neither confirm nor deny also help. Oh, that and the support of the world’s most powerful and now only superpower helps.
Not to mention that the neighbors are some of the most dysfunctional nations in the world
Yeah, true, low prestige, behind in tech, focusing on non-mil ideas, bad NIs, probably mil funding slider not at 100%, and you’ve got yourself countries you can easily stomp.
Edit: probably also a pip difference due to late game Western tech units vs. Muslim tech units.
I wouldn’t leave out China
I don’t really want to get too much into it, but I don’t consider them a proven superpower because they lack real allies (Russia is as much their ally given their geopolitical interests as the Soviets were ours in WWII), aren’t quite at the economic clout of the US (global or even regional reserve currency), aren’t even fully a regional hegemon (Taiwan, Japan, South Korea are all anti or weary towards China vs. Canada and Mexico being clear friends/sphered, to put in Vic2 terms), and have a dubious military power (admittedly we’ve struggled too recently, but US Naval and air power is unmatched) and reach (Djibouti I think is China’s only overseas base). While the Soviets were the #2 power to the US, it had Severa overseas bases and client states, clearly controlled its core geography, and had an alliance/puppet system.
Only needed the support of the world's most powerful countries lol
