what kind of headphones are we talking about? ear buds might not even be worth fixing. 

I've gone to [Empirical Sound](http://www.empiricalsound.com/) several times to have equipment fixed. Each time they've done a great job for a fair price.

Does anyone know of any local shops or places where I can bring in headphones to get repaired? The sound only comes out of one ear and I don't know how to use a soldering iron or anything that websites tell me to use to fix them.
