Knowing you
We've known each other for a long time
But why cant I make you mine
Maybe because I'm a coward
To say it to you straight forward.
To confess in front of you
To say that i love you
But I could not say
For it's way too cliche.
To say that I need you
Would be quite untrue
For this love is something we would outgrew
And I thought you thought that too
To say it out of the blue
I lack the courage, for that I knew
And love is something, that I don't have a clue
Only to realize this is something I cannot undo
We're always together everyday
But I just cant blow it away
The thought in my mind
Because of fear that i might be declined
My feelings is getting heavier by the day
I can barely hold it at bay
Thought to myself, No more delay
But when I have finally have the courage to say
Was the time you were away
Now that we're separated and old
Our friendship have gone cold
This lingering regret
Has become my forever secret.
