Spicy food cravings ugh!
So after about 10 years of GF living i still get randomly glutened or just adopt "meh I'll die when I die" mentality occasionally and don't pay ose attention (damn you soy sauce). And this ends up leading me to a few days of bad tummy time. Funny thing is whenever I'm on the back end and it's been a few days of, um no movement, I get overwhelming cravings for spicy food. But not just spicy food, OMG IM CRYING, kind of spicy food.
It's the worst . Because I know that I'll be in the bathroom all day already, why in the hell would I want to make it more painful with super hot foods!
And why in the world would I crave spicy food for comfort when I feel like this. For the rest of the week I'll be craving bell pepper and garlic to recover my gut Flora. Ugh these tacos were worth it tho!

Your body is probably craving something to get things moving along.
Psyllium husk flour (base ingredient for Metamucil) might be a gentler way to get things moving along. Just be conservative on the dosage. If your body isn’t used to it and you go a little overboard, things want to move a little too quickly. It should help give you something with a little bit more substance for the following couple of days with all of the return trips once things do start moving.
You seem aware of the long term risks, so I’ll leave out the comments about the risky behaviors.
