KEF Cresta 2 or Wharfedale Diamond

Purchasing EU

Hello! I wanted to ask the following. I currently have a KEF Cresta 2, would it be a good jump to upgrade to a Wharfedale Diamonds? Or would there not be a noticeable sound difference? I don't have an option to try them here where I live. JVC l-a21 turntable with AT-VM95E and soon AT-VM95EN, Technics SU-2500 amplifier. if the answer would be to stay with the KEF, maybe change ferrofluid liquid? Thank you!

I was very interested in the Lintons, but after seeing the GR Research YouTube video they seem to have some flaws... maybe consider the Elac Debut Reference as a good middle ground (price wise)?

Which ones?

some version Wharfedable diamond 12.0, 12.1 or 12.2.

I think the 12.1 and 12.2 will have the Cresta beat. Cheap speakers has gotten significantly better in the past 20 years.

so, Cresta 2 for a few more years? relatively I put the music at volume 1.5 maximum and they sound enough. Online seller strongly recommends a Linton, but I feel that I am not going to take advantage of it, would there be an improvement in the sound or only in terms of volume?

With the linton you are leaving entry level hifi segment. Those would defenintly be a big upgrade over the Cresta 2.

I dont know what "volume 1.5" means. You are going to have to describe it in some other terms.

would there be an improvement in the sound or only in terms of volume?

Linton vs Cresta 2 or Linton VS Diamond 2?

The Linton will be significantly better than both of those.
