Free T6 Coupons for ship traits

PC

I have up to three T6 coupons I can use (two of them from the Event Campaign III if I don't choose the Lobi or premium ship). I already have the Khopesh, Arbiter, and Gagarin. The Gagarin being my main ship I fly set up primarily for FAW and I'm not looking to change that anytime soon so I'm looking at ships for their traits. What ship should I get for just one coupon and what ships should I get if I decide to use all three coupons?

Cardassian Ghemor FDC has a great trait that grants a large damage and cooldown boost after a short time. It's not the most dependable, but it's predictable and requires no effort on your part to activate. I'd prioritize this for your single coupon.

Past that, you can either grab a premium ship like the Mirror Constitution for its trait, or lobi for lobi equipment, or the Atlas for the console. Do you have any other good traits, or is getting 3 traits a priority?

Getting three traits is not a priority. Although I primarily focus on my first character, I like having account wide items and ships.

You can't trade the free T6 coupon from the current giveaway, but OP has the rewards from Event Campaign 3, which does offer lobi as a potential reward.

You should not make any purchases until you are sure. Let your needs and desires dictate your purchases, not your coupons.

I.e., when you've done the homework and know what kind of ship you want to build, all your purchase decisions will be clear.

If you like science builds (or think you may want to in the future), the Somerville and Chimesh have pretty key science based traits. The Chronos does also if you fly a science ship with Temporal abilities... like the Eternal which happens to be the best science ship in the C-store (and arguably the entire game).

I have read that list and some of the builds on the site. I'm just trying to narrow down the list to the most important trait or traits I can get.

You should consider taking the lobi and getting consoles. Also I would use the one coupon on the Cardassian flight deck thing to get Calm Before the Storm (at least that's what I did on my alt account)

Everyone is in a different place, obviously, but personally I would not spend the Event Campaign reward on a C-store ship; those are, relatively speaking, much, much easier and cheaper to obtain at a later time, whether through cash, in-game economy or other events as compared to a promo ship.

That being said, if we narrowly view c-store traits only, just for maximum dps efficiency for a DEW B:FAW build in the current meta, the order is as follows:

  1. EWC (you've got it)
  2. ETM (you've got it)
  3. Calm Before the Storm (only if you're ISA runs take longer than 40-60s)
  4. SCW (you've got it, but only if you're running 3pc Lorca's; at higher dps it is more efficient to just run the DBB+console)
  5. Heart of Sol & equivalent faction traits (if it matches your dmg type only)
  6. Overpowered & Overgunned (only if you can maintain 100% uptime. Legendary c-store)
  7. Strike From the Shadows
  8. etc.

Now, there are other traits that are better than these (Cold-Hearted, Terran Goodbye, Weapon Emitter Overdrive, and Ruin of Our Enemies sit somewhere around position 3 or 4), but those are all Phoenix/lockbox/promo traits and they really only provide huge stonking numbers if you're already dealing huge stonking numbers.

Thank you for the list. I do have Cold-Hearted from the ship from the Christmas event. Going by what I've seen on builds and answers in this thread I'm leaning toward the Ghemor (I've never done an ISA run). The next time a free T6 is available I will keep in mind Heart of Sol and Strike from Shadows. Speaking of HoS I did not realize that this game had a trait that was dependent on what faction your character is in.
