My point is that the people in this picture you're defending are the deranged ones. One is saying sitting in a lap is an invitation for groping, and the second is drawing a false equivalence between sitting in someone's lap and getting naked in their bed. All this heavily depends on how each things is done tho. Let's say there's no verbal communication at all.
A person sitting in your lap can be extremely different from another one doing it and with one there can still be clear signals that getting more physical is OK.
If I'm having sex on a regular basis with a person, or even just once or twice. She sits in my lap then I'd like to think I'm ok to get more physical.
Same goes for the naked person in bed. There's widely different scenarios here where it can clearly be an invitation to get more physical (doesn't mean you're allowed to follow through with the invite if they change themselves). The action alone is not enough as an invitation (sitting in lap or lying down naked in bed) but these actions are usually accompanied by other smaller actions (or other context like previous encounters) that send more clear signals and if they're not then it's not an invite/you should confirm if it is before moving on it.

Sure, I mostly agree. There's plenty of additional context regarding Destiny and Mia Rose's relationship that, while not excusing it, at least puts it in a different league of offense than if he had just groped a random stranger. My problem with the guys in the tweet thread is that they don't care about that additional context. They see a girl in a lap and that's all the justification they need to say all cleared for takeoff.

If the person is actively trying to initiate a sexual encounter/foreplay then sure but maybe they're your partner and just want to cuddle in bed or you happen to share a bed or some shit, idk.
