Has there ever been a direct response from some of the heavy-hitters that LPOTL covers?

Was poking around other true crime podcast news I follow and this question always comes up in my brain but I'm never able to find much info on whether this happens or not. Would be super interesting to know or read any responses from people that have been highlighted.

Could also just be me being super weird because boy howdy do I love trivial information that seems to matter to no one at all :D

Kennifer Bianchi (one of the Hillside Stranglers) sued the boys because Marcus kept calling him Kennifer. But it didn’t go anywhere because Kennifer is a moron and a murderer.

Which is why to this day, if they mention the Hillside Stranglers, they will go out of their way to get at least one Kennifer name drop in before they move on. It's so hilariously petty and I love them for it.

Also, it's kind of sad that we'll never know how Charles Manson would've reacted to Henry's impression of him.

I can’t speak to LPOTL but when Some Place Underneath did their episode on Lauren Cho it caused some local drama. I live near where she went missing and know some people that over lap with the whole scene she was in and some people were not happy about the position they took in that episode.

I heard most of it second hand so I don’t have a full picture. But some people being upset at how the story and people in it were portrayed in the episode and some people that knew her were pissed about it. I don’t really know much about it all other than it was a big story in my local area when she went missing. but I kinda get it, it’s tough to do true crime stuff about such recent events without upsetting people who are still grieving or have their own side of the story.

Is that why they weren’t able to release the next episode when they were supposed to? I was so curious what was going on because of how super vague they were when saying they couldn’t put it out. I wasn’t sure if it was because they decided not to, or if they literally weren’t allowed to because of something related to the investigation and maybe they were told not to.

I always just kind of assumed that was what happened, but couldn’t find anything to prove or disprove that theory so who knows.
